GE kondigt drie nieuwe compacts aan

General Electric, een groot Amerikaanse elektronicabedrijf (gelieerd aan het bekende General Motors) heeft een drietal nieuwe camera’s aangekondigd. Dat gebeurde op de Australische versie van de PMA 2011 (die wel doorgaat, in tegenstelling tot die in de VS). GE gebruikt de naar eigen zeggen hun geavanceerde Aptina A-Pix CMOS pixeltechnologie, die staat voor een goede beeldkwaliteit en hoge snelheid – tot maximaal 10 foto’s per seconde. De camera’s ondersteunen hd-video (2x 1080p hd, 1x 720p) en hoge ISO-standen. De GE camera’s komen ook in Nederland en België op de markt. 

De GE G100Power Pro komt in oktober op de markt. (voor circa € 199). Dit is een compacte camera met een 14 megapixel sensor en een objectief met 15x optische zoom.Hij kan opnemen in 1080p Full HD, gaat tot ISO 3200, heeft een 7,6 cm lcd-scherm en is uitgerust met optische beeldstabilisatie. Ook kan de camera meerdere belichtingen achter elkaar maken en desgewenst ook HDR’s maken via ‘image blending’.

De GE’s E1410SW Power Series (circa € 179) is uitgerust met dezelfde 14 megapixel sensor, maar wordt geleverd met een objectief met 10x optische zoom. De groothoekstand begint bij 28mm (equivalent). Verder biedt deze compacte camera onder andere een modus om eenvoudig panorama’s te maken. Hij wordt ook in oktober verwacht.

De de GE J1456W tenslotte (circa € 99) is een betaalbare camera met 5x optische zoom, 720p hd-video en Li-Ion accu die al in augustus op de markt komt.

The new J1456W expands the 2011 GE Smart series line and now offers consumers a broader choice of AA or rechargeable Lithium-ion battery models in the highly affordable, entry level category. The GE J1456W features: 5X optical zoom, a new 28mm wide-angle lens, 720p HD video recording and over 20 individual scene modes, including Pancapture, image stabilization and new sketch mode, all housed in a new compact design. All three camera models will be on display in Booth #517 for the first time at PMA Australia.

Meet the New 2011 GE Digital Cameras

GE G100 Power Pro: The GE G100 is a compact model bridge camera in the mega zoom category with 15X optical zoom, 14 megapixels and is the perfect option for the photography enthusiast moving from a point-and-shoot to a more powerful camera. Aptina™ A-Pix™ CMOS pixel technology allows the G100 to shoot high-speed photos (10fps) and advanced high-performance 1080p Full-HD video. A built-in HDMI port allows users to connect the camera to a HDTV for instant group sharing. The GE G100 is equipped with over 30 different shooting modes and all the must-have features GE digital cameras are known for, such as a large 3.0” high-resolution LCD, optical image stabilization and a 3200 ISO for more light sensitivity. Multi-Exposure, Object Tracking and HDR with image blending can all be found in the G100, available in October, 2011.

GE E1410SW Power Series: The GE E1410SW boasts 14 megapixels and 10X optical zoom in a thin and stylish design. The ultra-compact camera is ideal for anything from hiking trips to weekends in the city. The E1410SW is capable of taking sharp, multi-burst photos with increased shutter speed, a direct result of incorporating Aptina™ A-Pix™ CMOS pixel technology. Enhanced light sensitivity provides the best quality still images and the ability to take advanced, high-performance 1080p Full-HD video. This model is set to be released in October, 2011.

GE J1456W Smart Series: The GE J1456W adds a second rechargeable Lithium-ion battery model to GIC’s best-selling entry level, Smart Series cameras. This model packs easy to use features including: Smile, Face and Blink Detection; red-eye removal; 720p HD video capabilities and GIC’s award-winning Pan-Capture Panorama shooting mode with a new 28mm wide angle lens. The GE J1456W will be one of the most affordable 5X Zoom, Li-on cameras on the market and is set to launch in August, 2011.
